We made loft office furniture for a space with brick walls, arched windows and a black exposed ceiling: desks, private offices, shelving and a reception desk. The dark floor and the brick set the palette: a walnut decor, white and black.
Double desks stand in the work area by the windows: a top in a light wood decor on black A-shaped metal legs. Between the places we fixed screens covered in grey fabric. The next area has different desks, with a walnut-decor top on white sides. Low white open shelving divides the groups of desks: on every shelf the files are within reach of both teams, and light from the windows passes over the top. White works for the room here: with a dark floor and brick it reflects the light.
In the director's office a visitors' table joins the desk: a walnut-decor top on black gloss sides. Next to it stands a cabinet with solid doors and a section in dark glass. The second office has an L-shaped desk and a low unit with open niches under the television. In the work room along the partition stand cabinets with tinted glass doors and long handles.
The reception desk stands in the common area: a carcass in a dark walnut decor with a white panel in the middle of the front and lighting running round its edge. Against the dark floor the desk is visible straight from the entrance. A tall white cabinet with built-in appliances stands beside it. Other projects in the loft style are an office furniture set on a metal frame and desks on A-shaped legs.
How metal, wood and brick go together in furniture is covered in our guide to the industrial style. A set like this suits an office in an old building where the character of the walls is worth keeping and more light is welcome. More on the custom furniture for business page.
