Custom furniture for IKI izakaya at Nowogrodzka 44 in Warsaw: a long bar counter, a fitted bartender zone, high tables, tables by the banquette and a large table for the private room. A dark, calm interior where stone, black steel and wood matter most.
The counter runs in a gentle curve across the whole main room. The dark stone-pattern top with light veining catches the light from the windows, and the front of vertical slats gives the bar rhythm and depth. Guest seats are set along the counter — in an izakaya you eat at the bar, not just order.
On the staff side the bar is a complete workstation: a recessed sink, a work surface below the counter line and glassware within reach. Behind the bartender we planned a unit with shelves for glasses and bottles, set between walls clad in dark stone. Next to the bar stands an openwork partition of light wooden slats.
The first room got high tables with tops in the same pattern as the bar, mounted on black steel frames — guests sit at them on high stools right under the venue’s logo. Smaller tables with the same tops stand along the banquette. This way the whole restaurant speaks one language of materials.
A separate room holds a long wooden table with rounded ends and a pronounced grain — a place for dinner in a larger group.
The counter dimensions, the curve of the bar and the worktop heights follow the layout of the room in a historic townhouse and the way the staff work. Custom furniture for hospitality: design, production in our own facility and installation by our own crew.
