Custom Outdoor Bar Counter for BRIO Bistro

A custom bar counter for the garden of BRIO Bistro at Chmielna 30 in Warsaw. An outdoor bar in a townhouse courtyard, a few steps from the Palace of Culture: a stone worktop, a fluted wood-tone front and a complete bartender station hidden from the guests’ side.

The brief

The garden operates under a canopy in an inner courtyard. The venue needed a bar that serves guests outside without running indoors, and that looks like a piece of furniture rather than a back-of-house unit. And there are the conditions: the bar stays outdoors all season.

What we built

We designed a long counter as one compact volume. The front and sides are covered with vertical fluting in a warm wood tone that sits well with the wooden fence and the greenery of the garden. The polished stone top in a light sandy tone overhangs towards the guests — knees and bar stools fit comfortably underneath.

Bartender zone

On the staff side a sink with a tap and stainless-steel work containers are recessed into the top, with room for stock and equipment below. Everything the bartender needs is within reach, while the guest sees only the clean line of the worktop. The overhanging top rests on black steel brackets, and the plinth protects the body from water when the paving is washed.

The result

The garden gained its own self-contained service point and several extra seats at the counter. The bar’s dimensions follow the table layout and staff walkways — custom furniture for hospitality, designed, made and installed by our team.
